Please arrive in your cap and gown to register on site for the ceremony beginning by 8:00am.

 

COMMENCEMENT TICKETS ARE REQUIRED FOR BOTH STUDENTS & THEIR GUESTS

GRADUATE and MAGIST students, please contact the SAO Jenée Misraje – jenee@geog.ucla.edu to confirm your attendance and to request your tickets.

All UNDERGRADUATE students are required to confirm their attendance by ordering a STUDENT ticket online via MyUCLA at no charge. You may order tickets via MyUCLA’s Commencement Feature starting May 9.  Your first 4 guest tickets are complimentary. If you would like to purchase additional tickets, you can do so when ordering the first 4 comp tickets. If there is an issue, you can send an email to the department at undergraduate@geog.ucla.edu and we will address any issues.

All ticket orders will be delivered via the student’s email address on record. Please be sure to check your spam folder since tickets are often delivered there. To prepare for ticket distribution you may add tickets@cto.ucla.edu to your safe sender list. You will receive two emails per ceremony, one containing your student graduate ticket and the other with your guest tickets.

ON THE DAY of the event, please be ready to present tickets upon entry – both you and your guests must present tickets for entry. So, be sure to be on the lookout for the two emails from tickets@cto.ucla.edu. If you or your guests do not have access to a smartphone, you may present a printed out copy of the PDF.

UNDERGRADUATE GRADUATION CHECKLIST

• Sign up for an iGradWorkshop https://caac.ucla.edu/academic-planning/workshops/#tab-id-4, for graduating seniors preparing for commencement and graduation.
• Update your Degree Expected Term if you haven’t yet done so on MyUCLA!
• Check your DAR for Degree Completion to make sure all major/minor requirements are complete or in progress (IP) if you are finishing in the summer sessions. If any are unexpectedly “incomplete” please contact the department at undergraduate@geog.ucla.edu.
• Visit the Registrar’s Office website for more information.

 

ALL STUDENTS – ON GRADUATION DAY

• All graduates please arrive in cap and gown!

Students must arrive in their cap and gown to the ceremony location.

• A designated registration table will be set up for all students to complete a name card for the ceremony.
• Graduates will be asked to form a queue before the start of the ceremony, will walk in a procession and be seated in a special separate section closest to the front of the stage.
• Guest seating is not reserved and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
• GradImages will provide professional photography services, allowing students to purchase individual photographs at a later date.
• The ceremony normally lasts 1 ½ hours, no more than 2 hours.
