UCLA Geography Association

The Geography Association is the premier organization for students expressing interest in the geographic field at UCLA. In conjunction with the UCLA Geography Department, we work to build a strong geography community, increase campus awareness of the geographic discipline, and enhance the academic and research experience. We accomplish our goals by organizing meetings, events, and opportunities to augment geographer skills and interests; giving back to the greater community through service; and creating a network among alumni, faculty, graduate students, and the professional geographic community.

We host biweekly online general meetings where students get the chance to attend career panels, alumni events, speaker talks, and more. We also hold socials to allow students to know fellow peers with similar interests. To join our mailing list, please go to www.uclageographyassociation.org. You can also find more resources about the organization on www.linktr.ee/uclaga.

The Geography Association is currently operating on a biweekly format for general meetings. Our next general meeting will be on Monday, November 1, at 7pm during Week 6. We will be hosting an alumni talk with two UCLA Geography alumni, Maya O’Brien and David Kaitz. Our Week 8 general meeting will be a career panel for students to learn about future careers that utilize geography. Between these general meetings, the Geography Association will also be holding socials for students to socialize.
