Professor MacDonald elected to American Academy of Arts and Sciences
Professor Glen MacDonald, Distinguished Professor of Geography and Endowed Chair, has been elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Following his election as Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the American Geophysical Union, this caps off an amazing (and well deserved) Grand Slam year for Professor MacDonald.
Founded in 1780, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences is one of our country’s oldest learned societies. Members contribute to Academy publications and studies of science, engineering, and technology policy; global security and international affairs; the humanities, arts, and education; and American institutions and the public good.
A total of 213 Fellows were elected this year, including 7 from UCLA. The full list may be viewed at the link below.
Congratulations!
