Biography

Sierra Burkhart (Ph.D., UCLA, 2016) is the Academic Director of UCLA Geospatial.  Dr. Burkhart oversees academic matters for the GIS and Geospatial Technology certificate program and the MAGIST program.  She teaches classes on geographic information science (GIS), data visualization, and computer programming.  Her research interests include GIS, Web mapping and visualization technologies, and electoral geography.
