Biography

My current research focuses on the work and everyday life experiences of Southeast Asian male migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong, especially how they negotiate gender roles and norms while working in a female-dominated occupation. My other research interests include the characteristics and outcomes of urban renewal in Hong Kong and Singaporean neighborhoods, and the encounters between humans and the more-than-human in wet markets in Hong Kong.
